How do I configure a default tax when creating a Product

If you're looking to have a Tax be assigned to a product upon creation there is a simple solution to this.

  1. Log in to the Back Office.
  2. Click on "Admin" and search for and click on "Locations".
  3. Once here chose the location you would like to adjust the Default tax for products and select "Edit Selected Location(s)".
  4. Once the window loads look for the line that says "Default sales tax" and select the Tax you want assigned for this location from the drop down.
  5. Click the down arrow next to Save then select "Save and exit".
  6. You can now create a new product and the tax you chose should populate.
  7. Repeat steps 3 - 5 for any additional locations if your instance has more than 1 location.
