Label Printer Blue Screen Error

There is a potential issue in the March 2021 update for Windows 10 where loading up the label designer can cause a blue screen error. If you run into this, it could be an issue with an automatic update that was installed by Windows and cannot be stopped. There are two possible ways to fix the issue;

First, run windows updates by doing the following:

  1. Click on your start menu, and open Settings (click on the gear in the bottom left of the menu)
  2. Click on Update & Security
  3. Click on Windows Update
  4. Click on Check for Updates
  5. Reboot your computer when it asks

If you continue to have issues please try the following:

  1. Click on your start menu, and open Settings (click on the gear in the bottom left of the menu)
  2. Click on Update & Security
  3. Click on Windows Update
  4. Click on View Update History
  5. Look for any of these updates: KB5000802, KB5000808, KB5000809, or KB5000822
  6. If any of the above updates are installed, click on Uninstall Updates
  7. Locate the update in the list, it should look like NAME OF THE UPDATE(KB5000802), and select it
